Save dogs from cruel pesticide poisoning!

Dear friends, In Japan and South Korea, dogs are slowly being poisoned over the course of a year with toxic chemicals such as weed killers and insect repellants. Animal testing of pesticides isn't just a bad habit - it's the law. Apart from being horrifically cruel, these tests are unnecessary and provide no value to the assessment of human health risks of these toxins. In the 1-year test, groups of beagle dogs are subjected to daily pesticide poisoning either by force-feeding of a capsule or being forced to eat food laced with a pesticide – for an entire year. The scientific basis of the test has been widely discredited, so much so that the United States, India, European Union, Brazil and Canada have stopped requiring it. While this is positive news, this test is still a legal requirement in two countries – Japan and South Korea. As a result, this cruel and unnecessary test is still being conducted and countless dogs continue to suffer. Thank you,
