Requirements:
A LLB or equivalent four year recognised legal degree with extensive experience gained after obtaining the qualification and a valid driver’s license. PLUS the following key competencies:
Knowledge of:
- Administrative and Constitutional Law
- Acts and regulations relevant to the Public Service
- Legal drafting and interpretation
- Research
- Court procedure
- Draft Legal Opinions and Advise The Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act

- Manage litigation by and against the DMR

DUTIES:
- Draft, review and amend legislation, agreements, policies and other Legal Documents
- Conduct research and provide legal advice and opinions
- Administer the process of appeals
- Facilitate, administer and monitor the process of litigation
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of Access to Information Act
- Keep records for reporting purposes
- Willingness to travel and work overtime as and when required
