While they don't get the same level of recognition as explorers and extreme athletes, adventure and wildlife photographers also go to the ends of the Earth to get that perfect shot. Take nature photographer Joshua Holko for instance. In this video, we join him on an expedition to Svalbard in Norway, where he battles some harsh arctic conditions to photograph polar bears in their natural environment. The place is beautiful and unforgiving, and sometimes he must brave the cold for hours to get the photo he is looking for. But when everything comes together, it can be spectacular.

Video: A Visit to Longyearbyen in Norway
Located on Spitsbergen Island, in Norway's Svalbard archipelago. Longyearbyen is perhaps the northernmost settlement in the world. This tiny village is the last vestiges of civilization for anyone traveling north into the Arctic, and it is a major draw to adventurers and explorers alike. In this video, we travel to Longyearbyen to get a look at the landscapes that are found there, as well as the people that inhabit this place. As you can imagine, there is a lot of character to be found in this remote corner of the world.

Video: Svalbard - A Journey to the High Arctic
Here's a wonderful video that transports viewers to the Svalbard, a remote island located off the coast of Norway above the Arctic Circle. The seven minute clip takes us through the stunning landscapes that exist there, giving us a glimpse of the beautiful scenery, remote places, and wonderful wildlife that lives in this amazing place. Svalbard is a popular destination for those who want to spot polar bears in the wild, but it is not a place for travelers who can't endure cold weather and demanding conditions. Those who can however, are treated to a pristine wilderness that rewards them with beauty at every turn.

Video: Journey To Bear Island
There aren't many expeditions that you can go on that allow you to ski, snowboard, climb and surf, but that is exactly what the Wegge brothers got when they visited remote Bear Island off the Svalbard coast. The video below is a teaser for an upcoming film of their adventure, which judging from these two minutes of footage looks like it was filled will all kinds of interesting activities.
