Response to Mercury Retrograde for 2017 Starts on April 9
Hey feeling any Deja Vu over this retrograde vs direct line of thought? No? Well let me remind you about the prognostications made on the site about a “Rare Opportune Time” not too long ago about the “APDM” that rare time when ALL the Planets Move Forward in Direct Motion. Remember that one? From January 7 – February 6, 2017. Many a Follower of the GCR assumed that this was our cue to move forward without further delay, and their ship was coming in. Now, not to say that certain progress wasn’t made during this time, but did it mean we were any better or worse off than at any other time to hit the “Go Button”?
Currently, Venus (ruler of currencies) is square, (in hard aspect) to Saturn (karma, lessons, the grim reaper, wisdom), and Saturn itself is on the verge of going retrograde. Does this mean it is a “show-stopper” for currency revaluation? Or Mercury retrograde? We shall see.
Let’s take a look at what Edgar Cayce, the sleeping prophet (profit?), had to say about these matters:
“Astrology is a fact in most instances. But astrological aspects are but signs, symbols. No influence is of greater value or of greater help than the will of an individual.”
Cayce's belief in human self-reliance goes so far as to say that the stars don't rule us, we rule the stars!
“These influences are not greater than the will of the entity. While the varied aspects may be said to rule the entity, yet the entity—as everyone—should rather, with its own will, rule those integral aspects in the affairs—of the stars, as well as of self's own life. Rather, then, than the stars ruling the life, the life should rule the stars—for man was created a little bit higher than all the rest of the whole universe, and is capable of harnessing, directing, enforcing, the laws of the universe.

In his readings Cayce describes human beings as co-creators with God. This means that God created us for companionship and endowed us with free will and the ability to create.
“It is this ability that makes us Godlike, for the Bible says that God created humans in His own image. Here are some readings in which Cayce shows our relationship to God and to astrology:
As indicated in the certain periods, remember-as has been given—it is not because ye were born in May, or on the 4th of May, that such and such happened to thee. For, as a corpuscle in the body of God, ye are free-willed-and thus a co-creator with God.”
So yes, these astrological energies are there and can indicate opportune times, but man’s free will as a co-creator with God, takes precedence over all of them.
