Do you want to live life, or do you want to escape life? -Macklemore
And that brings us to tonight's word: NETFLIX AND CHILL
Anyone else feel like we're on shore leave? Feel like we're waiting to get orders to get shipped out to sea for eight months? I like to think that most of us are taking this R&R for what it is meant to be. Rest and relaxation. Living life to its fullest before we get deployed. That means going to museums, reading a book at a coffee shop, striking up a conversation with a complete stranger, cooing at babies, or taking a pretty civilian girl out on a date. You know the one, Mary Bobby Jean who's gonna write you every day you're gone and send pictures. And the last thing you want to think about while on R&R is being stuffed in a sardine can with a thousand soldiers once we get our call. But that's kind of it, isn't it? Some of our minds are so far out in the ocean that we're forgetting the small miracles that are placed in front of us every day.
"Smell the flowers while you can." David Wojnarowicz

And guys, I'm with you. U.S. Treasury got sworn in. Munchkin land...that's a pretty good one. Even got the 24 hours. Done. And BiBi coming to town so close to Valentine's Day? Oh my stars and garters. When Bibi starts talking about Iran nuclear missiles... it gets my motor running. All that sweet talk drives a girl crazy. And when Trump talked about not pushing a 2 state agreement? Mama likey.
But I can hear you say: Bruce and Kent and Yosef said as of Saturday night this was a done deal. What's the hold up Bubbie? Like you, I wish I knew. Maybe they're cleaning up exchange groups and sending out yellow cards. Maybe they're continuing to arrest bad guys with pallets full of dinar. Maybe arresting a few narcos. If we were waiting for a bibi public surrender Wednesday, I don't think we got it. It's hard to imagine anything more on the list. But we're just pawns waiting to get shipped out. What do we know about what's on the list? Right, Herschel?
For now we should be thanking God for giving us this beautiful "Not a darn chem trail in the sky" sun shiny day and be content. Let your mind be free without limits to explore the possibilities of your imagination. Ignore those idiots who want you to stay grounded. Ignore those who try to plant a lesser value on the Zim note in your head. Because here's what we got: we were told there was a one-to-one Zim rate to the dollar. Now this being a fixed-rate and not floating it's considered a placeholder rate. I presume it will start floating at some point in the future but not now. Grounding is for the public, not the chosen ones.
The second bit of information came out about Saturday night. Something big went down while we were sleeping. We were given yet another gift as the Zim placeholder rate increased to $1.70. Thank you for this wonderful gift. Most gracious. That means every 100 T Zim note is worth 170 trillion US dollars in you take the screen rate with no NDA. Saints begorrah! Let me repeat that for the naysayers, all of us will be quadrillionaires in the least. All it would take is 7 notes. How's that for expanding your imagination? How's that for breaking the glass ceiling?
Allegedly, Bibi acquiesced Saturday night which means everything Tuesday and Wednesday was a show. Kabuki theater. Probably to pacify Jewish Americans that a 2 state solution is not probable. Did you notice every question was about stopping a two state solution? Every....question...But according to Kent and Yosef and Bruce, it was already decided 11:59 Saturday night. So what's the hold up, Shmooly?
I don't know guys. Nare a clue. But I do know that we are about to become super pawns. I also know that we are loved very much. I also know that now is the time to expand our minds beyond the limits that we have known and the limits that some are still wishing to impose on you. It's time to elevate every part of our minds bodies and souls to the level we are meant to live. Like a child who only has one hour for playground, make the most of every second. You are no longer grounded and you are no longer shackled. Speed limit 55? Oh no, sir. I can't drive 55. Maybe today is a good day to take Mary Bobby Jean down to the nickel cinema and then to the pharmacy for a sundae. Maybe a good day to talk to a plant. A good day to buy some takeout for a homeless person. Maybe it's a good day to Netflix and chill.
And that's the word

"Thunder Road"
The screen door slams
Mary' dress waves
Like a vision she dances across the porch
As the radio plays
Roy Orbison singing for the lonely
Hey that's me and I want you only
Don't turn me home again
I just can't face myself alone again
Don't run back inside
Darling you know just what I'm here for
So you're scared and you're thinking
That maybe we ain't that young anymore
Show a little faith there's magic in the night
You ain't a beauty but hey you're alright
Oh and that's alright with me
You can hide 'neath your covers
And study your pain
Make crosses from your lovers
Throw roses in the rain
Waste your summer praying in vain
For a saviour to rise from these streets
Well now I'm no hero
That's understood
All the redemption I can offer girl
Is beneath this dirty hood
With a chance to make it good somehow
Hey what else can we do now ?
Except roll down the window
And let the wind blow
Back your hair
Well the night's busting open
These two lanes will take us anywhere
We got one last chance to make it real
To trade in these wings on some wheels
Climb in back
Heaven's waiting on down the tracks
Oh-oh come take my hand
We're riding out tonight to case the promised land
Oh-oh Thunder Road oh Thunder Road
Lying out there like a killer in the sun
Hey I know it's late we can make it if we run
Oh Thunder Road sit tight take hold
Thunder Road
Well I got this guitar
And I learned how to make it talk
And my car's out back
If you're ready to take that long walk
From your front porch to my front seat
The door's open but the ride it ain't free
And I know you're lonely
For words that I ain't spoken
But tonight we'll be free
All the promises'll be broken
There were ghosts in the eyes
Of all the boys you sent away
They haunt this dusty beach road
In the skeleton frames of burned out Chevrolets
They scream your name at night in the street
Your graduation gown lies in rags at their feet
And in the lonely cool before dawn
You hear their engines roaring on
But when you get to the porch they're gone
On the wind so Mary climb in
It's town full of losers
And I'm pulling out of here to win
