The FN has announced its presence at the march against Monsanto in Strasbourg for several
weeks. In response, the organizers are limited to press releases stressing the
"non-political" side of the demo! The ideology of the FN is stored in the same bag as any
other political idea! ---- In 2015 already, the march against Monsanto was the occasion
for the organizers of the event to return in procession two fascist (displayed as Eco &
Natio) who had been ejected by protesters! ---- Clearly, the only thing that bothered them
was not that disturbing racist presence, but the disruption it had caused. This year, for
the march of 21 May 2016, the same organizers reoffend ... taking care, in advance, to
negotiate with the FN instead of his "New collective Ecology" in the demo!

The "collective new ecology" of the FN announced its presence at the march for many weeks.
The only response of the organizers was the publication releases insisting side
"apolitical" this event! Political ideology would be problematic ... racist ravings of the
FN being stored in the same bag as political idea!

Also read our analysis: " Against Monsanto: Is ecology soluble nationalism? "
But finally, after our protests, one of the organizers told us: "The FN through its New
collective Ecology agrees to manifest without flags or banners at the rear of the
procession, ie after the line of service order completing the demo. " Since the FN has "
accepted ", we must understand that there have been negotiations ...

Clearly the purpose of the negotiations was not to ensure that no racist and nationalist
organization imposes its presence in the march ... but just avoid that presence does not
cause a stir.

The fact that the FN starts to ecology is already quite laughable, but when more people
claiming the environmental movement, some members of EELV and the Friends of the Farmers'
Confederation, negotiate with this racist party for her presence in demonstration becomes
acceptable ... we say that the green movement has lost some marks!

Event Saturday, May 21, 14h
before the palace of the Droits-man
Jacoutot dock in Strasbourg

For our part, we stand a liberating ecology that is incompatible with racist and
nationalist discourse. We do not intend to leave the street on the far right!

I do not see the island as a picturesque thing and smiling. - Strict Thy form. - Dug
from the struggle and pain. [...] - Anyone who is aware of the tragic history of the last
centuries this island is fixed when contemplating the furious fight over in this land
between man fighting for his freedom and the oppressor raging to smash him. - N.
Kazantzakis in French Radio, Paris, 1955. - Today, May 20, 2016, completed 75 years of the
great anti-fascist struggle of the people of Crete. ---- The armed mobilization of new,
old people, women and men and the almost universal participation of residents Cretans in
the defense of the island, despite their lack of armor (due to their disarmament by the
Metaxas dictatorship), is the unknown factor in the Nazi military 'Operation Hermes "and
cause widespread loss to the German side. The antifascist consciousness in Crete arises
from this very popular participation, the reprisals which followed massive -the
inhabitants executions, imposition of compulsory work; and daily, organized and
non-resistance against the occupier.

An integral part of the anti-fascist consciousness is class consciousness (and vice
versa). Fascism is not just an ideology '' insane '' or such like to the present bourgeois
analysts and politicians, a simple 'social disease' 'of our time. It is product of
capitalism, nationalism and statism and employed by capital in every capitalist crisis, to
ensure through political channels, the financial interests of each bourgeoisie.

Mussolini and Hitler carried out the expansionistic wars with the full support of the
industrialists of the country, dictators Franco and Salazar sygkyvernousan with their
bourgeoisie, while in Chile the dictator Pinochet, neoliberal economist Friedman found the
ideal state environment to apply for the first time the neo-liberal economic experiments
on the backs of the Chilean people.

More recently: it is no coincidence that one of the first things taken care to make the
Golden Dawn with her entry to parliament in 2012, was put to the tax exemption of the
Greek shipowners, voting against the proposal for the taxation of the Parliament. The
funding also Nazi by local capitalists and relations with shipowners as Marinakis and
Pallis, are known to those who are not informed by television. The strikebreaking work of
ASE in shipbuilding zone of Perama had somehow rewarded.

Finally, the European Union did not hesitate to support politically and financially, the
right-wing government of Ukraine in order to grow the European capitalist family with the
Ukrainian capital, thereby flushing the atrocities committed by neo-members of the current
government against workers and Communists Ukraine.

Liberalism and fascism is not at all incompatible concepts. Instead, Europeans fascists
and liberals, conservatives and nationalist bourgeois democrats can work exceptionally
when threatened their bosses, that the pieces of the bourgeoisie that nourish them. Faced
with this very '' vision '' to defend financial interests at national level or not, the
bourgeoisie, the state mechanisms and their nationals do not hesitate to devastate entire
countries.

The current refugee-immigration crisis is a product of the war triggered the rival
interests of the West and Russia in the Middle East.

The Middle East, as we know, was and is an area of high geo-strategic importance and is
field expansionist policy for the US, Russia, the three strong EU (Germany, France, UK)
but also for Member satellites (Turkey, Saudi Arabia). Fundamentalism (ISIS, Al-Qaeda,
Taliban etc.) And nationalism has always been tools used by the sovereignty towards this
policy to breaks down social cohesion of these countries and to maintain the order for
terrorism narrative populations West.

We must not forget that the groups formed the ISIS, Al-Qaeda and other fundamentalists
were equipped in the past by the US in the war between the Soviet Union and Afghanistan
and trained by American officers in Pakistani camps. As well as the existence of ISIS,
facilitate and justify imperialist interventions and the presence of the army in the
territories of Syria and Iraq. Once the war ends the '' fight '' the Western states
against ISIS will naturally redeemed oil facilities, military bases, investment etc.

The war in Syria, the fundamentalist terror, migration, uprooting and brutality against
the peoples of the Middle East, is the product of rival interests between western and
eastern imperialist states, for the exploitation of the mineral wealth of the region and
to serve broader interests in freight transport, military operations, opening new markets,
etc.

From August until today, hundreds of thousands of refugees and immigrants, uprooted from
their place because of the war, knocking on the door of Fortress Europe in search of a
better life. This is laid down by the "birthplace of the Enlightenment" are marine
cemeteries in the Aegean, repression fascist assault battalions and concentration camps.
At best we are witnessing a global plan savage exploitation of refugees and migrants in
order the new capitalist development against her under development yet, the working class.
No illusions that the refugee is a problem to be solved with changes in jurisprudence or
appeals to European courts. Discussions of Europe's strengths is leading to the shameful
agreement between Turkey and the EU, which removes the Geneva Convention. Ie the mutual
agreement after the Second War Pagmosmio for protection of hunted populations from war.
But we must not be surprised at the attitude of Europe. It is the same "people's Europe"
caused and tolerated genocide of Rwanda and whistled indifferently Srebrenica massacre. It
is the same European former colonial states have committed in the past the most heinous
crimes against the people of Algeria, Tunisia, Ms. Congo. It is the very essence of the
European construction does not allow any solution. Is European integration which is
responsible for their expansionist wars, refugee flows, hundreds drowned women, to the
back murdered at land borders by border guards and also for promoting precarious work, the
dismantling of social security and economic terrorism daily experience oppressed millions
in European countries.

Against the crisis of our time, the rise of the far right with the support of
parliamentary democracy, the European Union's brutality, the violation of workers'
conquests, obscurantism media and confirmation of the Left deadlock, the antifascist
memory and class consciousness is more imposed than ever.

Self-organization, solidarity and militant class-social struggle is the only way toward
hell by the EU are preparing us, governments, capital and fascists. As we have said
refugee is not an issue that can be '' solved '', at least for the benefit of the peoples.
The concentration camps, the fences and the few jobs offered are not a solution. What
instead we can do all of us, is to show our solidarity, to work with immigrants who come
to our site and join forces with them in our common interests against the bosses. Making
them part of the class, revolutionary struggle for a society of equality, freedom and
justice, without exploitation and oppression.

Collective Alternative Libertaire (OCL) Gard existed for three years. CAL young, he
managed only a few years to be assertive, yet despite its modest size, the landscape Gard
militant as a political force that acts and proposes initiatives. The establishment of a
unitary frame as the anti-capitalist and self-management network (Raage), which includes
AL, NPA, CNT and FA in the department is the proof. Meet some of the new faces in our
organization and look crossed their path militants and the reasons why es them to join the
AL. ---- Alternative Libertaire: What are your activist journey? ---- Mohamed: When I was
in Morocco, I have been active in various associations and political parties. My first
investment was in the youth of the Socialist Union of Progressive Forces (USFP). I then
followed a leftist party that trend when he founded the Party Congress. This same Congress
Party will join later the Socialist Union, which is the agglomeration of various far-left
political forces, with the spine Democratic Way. The latter party, Marxist-Leninist
obedience, is the main revolutionary force in Morocco. It is from their ranks, for
example, from what Abraham Serfaty, the famous political opponent of the Hassan II regime.
At the association level, I got involved in the Moroccan Human Rights Association (AMDH),
which was a very good training school for me. This is where I learned to write a leaflet,
a statement, managing a militant newspaper, to speak in AG.

Minot: My course is based militant anti-fascism, the struggle against oppression, class
struggle etc. All that dragging long moments with colleagues in the street that taught me
a lot about the reality of society. I never joined an association or party but I regularly
participates in rallies, debates. I'm not unionized but I feel close to the revolutionary
syndicalism of class struggle and workers in their emancipation against the employers.

Fabien: My journey began with militant volunteering in the social sector, such as serving
meals in the CHRS for the homeless. If, politically, I have always been "left" (but what
does that mean today?), I've never been inserted in any political party. The policy has
never been my thing as they say. Therefore, I instead chose union involvement, for my
membership and my activism at SOUTH Social Health for four or five years in the
Pyrenees-Orientales then Solidaires 66. I'm at the departmental office of my union and I
am federal Councillor commissioned by my department within the federation.

Marie-Lise: In solidarity, I am SUD-Rail since 2004. I had a federal mandate from 2009 to
2012, and I represent, for SUD-Rail, administrative officers nationally since 2005. In the
past, I 'I campaigned for the LCR and was parliamentary candidate in the Camargue, on the
territory of master Collard. You can imagine the score that I have done in these fascists
... a little more than 2%! But, as was to try to "cast a wide net," the NPA was
established, and for me it did not correspond to my expectations. What made me join the
LCR was becoming too watered down to my taste. So I made the choice not to join the NPA,
and have joined any other party for several years.

Fadhel: In Tunisia, I was teacher of classical Arabic in college in the region of Sidi
Bouzid. Member of the UGTT, I was responsible for the teaching section of the union of my
city. When the uprising broke out in 2011 in the country to bring down the bloody
dictatorship of Ben Ali, I soon was propelled, not that I really like it under the
spotlight. I was regularly interviewed by radio stations and newspapers. I was even
invited on Al Jazeera in a televised debate. This layout before going quickly have
consequences on my physical integrity. In February 2011, I am one of the initiators of the
march on Tunis, called "Kasbah Walk," which, after the fall of the despot, demanded the
overthrow of the government of Mohamed Ghannouchi, a symbol to us of this clique around
Ben Ali, who clung to power. After the event, I fail to have me arrested by the police. To
hide, I spent the night in a cemetery. In vain, I am arrested, and the central police
station in Tunis, I am tortured. Wounds in the back, punishment the "roast" is tied my
feet into the air and hung like that for hours. I underwent surgery of the spine and
remains eight months without moving. After an assassination attempt by the Salafists who
also put price on my head, my troubles with the law that threatens to send me to jail, I
finally flee my country. Direction France and Nimes.

François: The son of metalworker and a saleswoman in a department store, my parents did
not campaigned and were not members of a trade union or a political party. So later that I
began to labor activism, at the age of 30 years. First the CGT and SUD-Rail. It is within
Solidaires I did most of the leadership team of a local United in the Somme. During those
years, I could militate in the collective undocumented as well as DAL. In the process, the
SUD-Rail federation asked me to lead the Solidaires union of transport. A position I held
for eight years.

Alternative Libertaire: Why did you choose AL?

Mohamed: In Morocco, I got very involved in the National Association of graduates are
unemployed (ANDCM) whose horizontal operation and base corresponded to my way of thinking
about politics. I discovered an operation, in any case, who broke with what I had
experienced previously in political organizations where I campaigned. At ANDCM, decisions
were made to the base, the assemblies were sovereign in their decisions. No slogan
parachuted from above. No central committee. It's probably from there that I started my
shift to self-management and libertarian ideals.

When I arrived at Nimes in 2002, I observed at first the social movement. I participated
in the demonstrations. I gave a hand to Eating the heart as a volunteer. Meanwhile, my
papers in order, I was hired as a mechanic in a cleaning company.

Then I joined the CNT Gard. I did not know this organization. This is surfing the internet
I discovered that the CNT had made support actions to ANDCM, including for justice
following the killing by police of one of its activists, Moustafa El Hamzaoui .

I finally joined the AL it two years ago. Alternative Libertaire attracted me to his
anti-capitalist speech, openness and his stance in favor of the class struggle. Its
dynamism breaks with the immobility of many social movement organizations. I learn a lot
in there on militant libertarian ideals that I come from a country where they are ignored
by the extreme majority of militants and revolutionary activists.

Minot: I am not member of AL but close sympathizer. I attend meetings of the CAL 30. What
I like in the AL this is the project of libertarian communist society, egalitarian and
horizontal, fighting against discrimination, repression and all forms of hierarchies. It
was a common sense, a desire to campaign and fight, to invest CAL as my classmates do in
unionism. Or like some others who are involved in the struggles of the neighborhoods where
the majority of the masses is, galley colleagues that can help to raise awareness thanks
to what we could learn.

Fabien: I knew AL through a friend. The reasons that led me to join this political
organization is twofold. First, the ideas and ideals that defends AL at political level
for me are a continuation of those defending SOUTH Health at union level: self-management,
anti-capitalism, anti-fascism, equality for all, etc. Second, my membership U also
represents a commitment to choice more politicized than my commitment to South is already
a social transformation union. The transformation of our society, is the motto of my
double commitment that now links the political union and that could be summarized as:
fight capitalism, defended by a representative political system of inequalities and
dominations to propose another route , an anti-capitalist society, self-management
released the liberal dogma ... But there would be many other things to say!

Marie-Lise: Exactly, because advanced by the G positions correspond to my perception on
many topics. At SUD-Rail, I met with pals AL, with whom we exchanged, and the
conversations we could have matched the back of my mind. Then, in Nîmes, I met other
comrades. I started to read the press AL, and the more I discovered texts written by
comrades, the more I found myself in these comments. For several years, I realize that
being engaged me in unions is good, but politically, it's one more step to defend and
advance ideas. I was looking for something strong at the positions defended, clear
messages that do not leave the place to the accompaniment of social regression. For me, it
is like having two legs, one leg union and a political leg, both perfectly coordinated to
move forward. It is for these reasons that I decided this commitment. And the formation of
new member G which I followed in Paris has only strengthen me in this spirit.

Fadhel: I arrived in Nimes, I was supported by a Tunisian friend, who himself joined the
AL group in that city. My commitment to the AL has therefore naturally. And especially
since I already knew, by my reading in Tunisia, the writings of libertarian thinkers.
Besides my pals that I hung Maoists, Tunisia often called me an anarchist. What I took as
a compliment rather than an insult. The horizontal operation of the AL and libertarian
communism match long since my conception of what should be a revolution. The popular
revolt against Ben Ali was in this vein from elsewhere. It is a pity that it was
confiscated and diverted by some political forces.

François: During all these years I campaigned, I have always associated the union activism
with political commitment. Not that of being in a political party to have responsibilities
and have power ... That of an ongoing commitment to support, organize wage earners with
employers. Membership in AL was made partly because I've been around in my trade union
organization of activists who were already there and I shared the same principles:
anti-capitalist, internationalist, anti-fascist, inter constant search for social
transformation. And secondly that membership U can develop these same principles and
values, also outside companies. Finally, join AL, libertarian organization and
self-management leaves a great freedom of expression and taking initiatives to advance to
another company.
