We welcome our newest member to the ALNBCT Network Board of Directors, Kim Bowen. Kim has filled our treasurer's position.
Kim Bowen is a third grade math and science teacher at Rainbow Elementary School in Madison. She earned her bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from The University of Alabama in early childhood education. She was National Board Certified in 2007. Since 1991, Bowen has presented mathematics seminars for early childhood educators across our nation focusing on teaching for understanding. She has also presented at 15 teaching leadership conferences, including the national conference for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. During her career, she has worked as a kindergarten, first, second, and third grade teacher.
