Raif Badawi continues to serve his sentence of 10 years in prison and 1,000 lashes in Saudi Arabia.

Weekly floggings have been canceled for the past seven weeks. By postponing the floggings, Saudi authorities may think the world will forget about Raif and that the pressure will be off of them to free him.

Let's take 50,000 more actions to remind them how wrong they are.

Take action now.

Dear,

For the seventh consecutive week, Saudi Arabian blogger Raif Badawi — who was jailed for starting an online forum and peacefully expressing his beliefs — was not flogged last Friday.

This moment is critical. It's the one in which Saudi authorities may think that by halting the floggings momentarily, the world will forget about Raif.

But you and I know that's not the case.

Tell Saudi authorities that the world is watching — and that we won't stop watching until Raif walks free.

Raif was sentenced to receive 50 lashes each Friday for another 19 weeks. Saturday marked 50 days since he received the first of these floggings. Join me in taking 50,000 more actions to see that Raif and other Prisoners of Conscience in Saudi Arabia are freed and that the floggings stop.

With your support:
  • More than 60 Members of Congress have signed on to a letter urging Saudi Arabia's new King to release Raif and other Prisoners of Conscience — as well as make other critical human rights reforms in the Kingdom.
  • We've collectively flooded the Saudi embassy in Washington D.C. with more than a thousand phone calls to call attention to Raif's case and others like him.
  • Student and activist group leaders have led multiple protests and demonstrations, demanding that the Saudi authorities #FreeRaif.
It's only with your action that these steps are possible and that we can continue the fight for Raif.

Thank you for joining me in taking 50,000 more actions in support of Raif, and in support of free speech.

In solidarity,
