As mentioned above, the Meeting decided to start a new organizational experimentation: a
space for coordination and consultation permanent coalition to connect and make
verification campaigns, to develop common political priorities, to place the shared agenda
against exploitation and precariousness. This will be traveling meetings which will mark
the organizational process between Meeting and the other in an attempt to consolidate, to
the extent possible, experiments of social unionism, of mutualism in different territories
but especially of political organization and communication between those who every day
experiences , in different ways, of precariousness.
The three day ended with a participatory meeting that involved collective and activists
from Greece, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Portugal, Sweden, Ireland, Spain and France.
It is not the first time that we discuss social Strike transnationally: already during the
Blockupy festival in Frankfurt and the forum on the precariousness of Lisbon has started
the discussion on the possibility of organizing a strike continental able to unite the
different social conditions existing in Europe, from claims and common perspectives. It is
however the first time that this happens within the Strike Meeting. This is an important
step for the full recognition, even in its organization, of Europe as a minimum horizon of
our political action.
The assembly transnational was also important for the topics discussed, the proposals
made, decisions taken. The political phase we are experiencing is characterized by the
production uncertainty outlined by the outcome of the elections in Greece. Uncertainty
that opens the possibility - and at the same time makes urgent - to take a step forward in
building a political initiative that is able to advance the common points of the program.
Building around these points the prospect of a strike is the bet transnational passed by.
The issues in the field are many and various ways of intervention. However, we intend to
continue to broaden the discussion around the four claims / campaigns discussed throughout
the Strike Meeting. During the assembly has emerged the need to find moments of
coordination and action to grow the organization at European level, in pursuit of a
transnational Strike Meeting by summer. In this sense, it has been proposed that a day of
action (in June) on the issue of unemployment.
It is in this spirit that will participate in the day of action called in Frankfurt March
18 Blockupy from the network, coordinating the process of mobilization within a frame
communication, March 19 assembly on the strike proposed by transnational social activists
Blockupy meets Amazon, which will be attended by activists and working realities from
divesi European countries.
To coordinate the discussion on these issues and strengthen the path will be implemented
the international mailing list on Transnational Strike created following the workshop
organized in Frankfurt.
