The Russian Helicopters holding delivered the last batch of Mi-171E transport helicopters built at the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant to Chinese company Poly Technologies, a company spokesperson stated Tuesday.
It's the last batch under a contract for 48 helicopters signed in 2012 by the Chinese company and Russia's arms exporter Rosoboronexport. In total, with additional contracts, 52 helicopters were delivered, the statement said.Mi-171E helicopters are successfully operated in China, in particular in regions with challenging terrain and severe climate conditions. Helicopters are used for transporting medical supplies, humanitarian aid, and construction materials.
