" ... but let us never forget that we still can anarchists neither Avengers be a judge, we
want to be liberators and as such must be our action in educational work and exemplary
deeds exist. " (Errico Malatesta) ---- The ASJ Leipzig was founded in October 2010 on the
initiative of two members of the Freie Arbeiter-und Arbeiter Union (FAU). The first week
was marked by contextual and structural policy discussions late into the night ranged into
it. According to the principles of anarcho-syndicalism worked and the group works on a
democratic basis, ie decisions are discussed and decided by all members of the group in
the Assembly. ---- Here (some over compromise) is to forge consensus of all members. Areas
of first years were political education and awareness training. The first peak in this
area presented the series of "anarchism in practice" (October-November 2011) dar. in seven
events, the Referent_innen presented relevant practical examples from the history of
libertarian or anarchist movement before, including the municipality in Christiania (as
review), the Machnowschtschina in Ukraine in the early 20th Century and the autonomous
regions in Chiapas.
Moreover, there were individual presentations on various topics: Gender and Sex,
Historical (the Kronstadt Rebellion, anarchism in Japan) and the present (the riots in
England, football and politics, etc.). Some of these lectures are still in our current
repertoire and can be held on request (in other cities).
Our education work has not only been pushed us far and wide to other place, but also given
us the opportunity to comrades from other cities and countries (eg Belarus and the
Philippines) to be welcomed.
too, anti-fascist and anti-racist work were through the years an important part of the
work of the group. In recent months, the more what is owed at the time of the particularly
hostile attitude towards asylum seekers in Saxony.
Several thematic priorities have been treated intensively in working groups. For this, the
topics "anti-sexism and gender" of JSC "queer positive" belonged antispeciesism and
anti-parliamentarism of the campaign "placed on's Cross" - a collaboration with anarchist
/ anarcho-syndicalist groups nationwide. Currently, our history-AG deals with the analysis
of the history of the FAUD (Free Workers' Union Germany) and SAJD (syndicalist-anarchist
youth Germany) in and around Leipzig. Starting point of this AG was the relocation of the
stumbling stone in memory of Arthur Holke by the FAU with the assistance of ASJL 2013. The
currently largest group of ASJL is the PLC labor. Under strong cooperation with other ASJ
groups and the FAU Leipzig campaign "young and cheap?" Lectures and counseling sessions to
labor in the mini-job and active support in the fight to be organized for the same in the
course. Perspective to other syndicalist themes to be addressed. In front of a wider union
term it should not only be about rights in the area of wage labor, but also the support
and organization of the unemployed, Student_innen and Sch?ler_innen.
Though we support people in their struggle for their rights (labor rights and other) for
very hold important, we do not want to stop there.
Rather, we hope that even experienced injustices in everyday life can be a food for
thought for a broader and more fundamental critique of contemporary society. Due to the
voluntary and self-determined organization in grass-roots trade unions and successful
small and large struggles against exploitation and oppression, we want to demonstrate a
free, united and emancipated society alternative, and strive as much as possible to
implement today. As this battle together promising and pleasant can be done, we are
networked with various groups, both from other cities as well as with groups with other
thematic priorities (Antifa groups, anti-racist groups, etc.).
In October 2013 we decided in the Federation of German anarchists (FdA) to enter. We hope
to have new ideas, a wider networking with new nice and interesting people, and mutual
support and solidarity in the struggle for a better future for each of us!
