Requirements:
A Bachelor Degree in Public Administration or Management or an equivalent NQF level 6 qualification in the related field with 1 years' experience in an operations management or immigrations environment at a supervisory/management level and/or a Grade 12 Certificate with 3 years' experience in an operations management or immigrations environment of which 2 years must be at a supervisory/management level
A post graduate qualification in the related field will serve as an added advantage
Knowledge of the Refugees Act and Immigration Act
Knowledge and understanding of departmental legislation and prescripts
Knowledge of the Public Service Regulatory Framework
Knowledge of the South African Constitution.

Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for, amongst others, the following specific tasks:
Control the process flow, information and documents in the units. Implement quality assurance strategies on postal receipt systems of permits
Provide statistical information on applications received. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Adherence to service level agreements to enhance service delivery
Interpret and maintain statistical information regarding service level standards, bottlenecks, volumes, trends and error rates
Monitor the performance of the SLA between the Front Office and the unit and take corrective action where required. Implement effective operational control measures to prevent corruption and other non-financial losses
Liaise with Government Printing Works and other stakeholders to ensure quality and timeous delivery of services
Facilitate the reviewed waiver of temporary and permanent residence applications (Permits) policies and code of practice for the directorate
Ensure compliance with all audit requirements, quality and risk management frameworks, standards and procedures
Interpret and implement all organisational circulars, policy and other communications that impact on the operation of the unit
Coach and guide staff on compliance to all relevant regulatory, internal and external compliance requirements
Report on all risk and financial indicators, including e.g. financial losses, overpayment, etc. according to the required format
Interpret and implement all organisational circulars, policy and other communications that impact on the operation of thedivision
Facilitate leaves, performance management, talent management and other Human Resources administration requirements for the division.
