Requirements:
An Degree/ National Diploma in Commerce, Accounting, Economics or equivalent qualification; Five (5) years working experience in the Supply Chain Management/Asset Management environment, with at least four (4) years experience on supervisory level; Knowledge of the Supply Chain Management Framework, PFMA and Treasury Regulations; Knowledge and experience of the Asset Management Framework, BAS and Supply Chain Management Systems. Skills and Competencies: People Management Skills; Research and analytical skills; Policy development and analytical skills; Project management skills; Financial management skills; Client orientation and customer focus skills; Presentation and facilitation skills; Communication (written and verbal) skills; Computer literacy (MS Office).
Duties:
Key Performance Areas: Ensure the Regional asset register is accurate and complete; Carry out physical asset verification in the Regional Office in accordance with departmental prescripts; Provide advice and guidance on assets management; Update and maintain the asset and lease register and manage the lease agreements; Reconciliation of the departmental asset and lease registers against the details and values on the procurement system and financial management system and liaise with relevant stakeholder on discrepancies; Facilitate the disposal of redundant, obsolesce and unserviceable assets in terms of the departmental disposal policy.
