Requirements:
Relevant degree/diploma or equivalent qualification in the field of administration/ finance with 2 years relevant experience. In- depth knowledge of applicable software packages (MS Office Suite) and an advanced level of computer literacy. Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and interact with persons in senior positions Presentation skills. Effective administrative and organizational skills.

Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations.

Duties:
Monitor and evaluate Provincial Education Departments’ (PEDs’) budget and expenditure in alignment with the PEDs’ Strategic Plans. Collect and compare financial information from PEDs and National Treasury and make follow-ups. Update and maintain the database relating to PEDs’ financial information. Provide support to PEDs on financial matters. Assist with monitoring the implementation of the department’s school funding policies. Liaise with Treasuries, other DBE directorates and Provincial Education Departments with regards to financial and budget related matters. Assist with administrative functions of the Directorate.
