Requirements:
Grade 12 Senior Certificate. 3 - 5 years Human Resources working experience in government. Extensive knowledge and experience of prevailing HR legislation, delegations and Persal. Knowledge of human resources functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data and collate administrative statistics. Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and prescripts. Organising skills and sound interpersonal skills. Good communication skills. Ability to work under pressure. Computer Literacy in MS Offices suite. Proven experience in and knowledge of PERSAL, BAS and LOGIS administration functions.
Duties:
Processing and approval of appointments, transfers and relocations, and upgrades. Processing of payments for employees qualifying for promotion in terms of Resolution 3 of 2009. Salary Administration. Processing and approval of allowances on the Persal system. Leave Administration. Processing of service benefits and exits of service. Terminations on Persal. Payment of Leave gratuities. Completion, and quality assurance of pension documents. Drafting of submissions, memos and letters. Approval of Persal transactions. Supervision of subordinates. Training and development of subordinates.
