Salary: R170 799 - R201 195 per annum (SL 07). The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.
Requirements:
A grade 12 or equivalent; 3 years’ experience required; Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Justice Deposit Accounting System (JDAS); Departmental Financial Procedure Manuals, Third Party Funds and Vote Account; Knowledge of PERSAL; A valid driver’s licence. Skills and competencies: Good communication skills (verbal and written); Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and PERSAL); Sound interpersonal relations; Accuracy and attention to detail; Analytical skills; Time management
Duties:
Key Performance areas: Manage and perform all PERSAL related payments, salary deductions and S&T Payments; Control and monitor payroll of the Region; Ensure that all resignations and debt take-on are finalized; Supervise Accounting clerks by allocating work and ensuring work performance, office discipline and providing on-the-job training; Effectively manage the performance of all subordinates; Ensure adherence to all applicable prescripts and regulations; Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
