In a series of publications [1-19] that were published by Moscow University ecologists, some new facts were discovered. As a result of critical analysis on the new facts, a better understanding of the following issues of ecology and environmental science was achieved.
These results help to develop the scientific basis for protection of aquatic ecosystems including protection of water quality. Moreover, these results open new avenues to success in improving water quality in aquatic ecosystems under anthropogenic impact. As a result, these results represent 17 intellectual victories
