Requirements:
Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate and extensive experience in the Public Service recruitment and selection field or a National diploma / degree in Human Resources Management with knowledge of and experience in the Public Service recruitment and selection field. Knowledge and experience of the Public Service Act, 1994 (Act 103 of 1994) (PSA), Public Service Regulations and relevant Public Service policies and prescripts that guide recruitment and selection processes. Report writing (minute taking), policy analysis and development, maintenance and updating of databases as well as performance management principles. Good communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organisation and planning skills, Computer literacy in MS Office software.
Duties:
The incumbent will be responsible to administer a recruitment and selection service by ensuring compliance and adherence to HRM policies and prescripts, advertisement requirements, completeness and accuracy of the application to fill a post, alignment and updating of advertisements with job descriptions and report discrepancies as well as the maintenance of recruitment and selection database. Capture CVs (intra-departmental), conduct first level filtering of candidates after on response handling schedule after closing dates, render secretariat services during short-listing and interview processes, organise short-listing and interview meetings as well as record proceedings thereof. Conduct Personnel Suitability Checks (PSCs) (criminal, credit, citizenship, qualification and reference checks), draft appointment submissions for approval by the delegated authority, draft prescribed offer / regret letters and maintain records important documents. Liaise with clients on daily operational issues as well as report on the vacancy rate, provide statistics and handle other related issues. Train and supervise staff.
