Salary: R872 214 per annum. All-inclusive flexible remuneration package consisting of a basic salary of 70% and a 30% flexible portion structured according to personal needs). The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement. (Level 14).
Requirements:
An appropriate B.Degree in Economics or Accounting and related qualification fields. - A post-graduate degree in Economics or Finance would be an added advantage - Thorough understanding of public policy development and implementation - knowledge of government policies and processes - knowledge of small business financing - knowledge of financial sector - good writing and communication skills and an ability to work under pressure.
Duties:
Management, co-ordination and specialist responsibilities aimed at: - ensuring strong governance, exercising oversight and promoting strategic direction over specific development financial institutions such as the Industrial Development Corporation and the small enterprise finance agency (SEFA); and utilising their expertise to support economic development and the outcomes of the New Growth Path - Develop benchmarks and monitor metrics and indices of performance - Analyse and comment on institutional performance. - Promote close alignment between economic policies and financial institutions. - Review the corporate Plans and Annual reports of the Development Financial Institutions. - Oversee projects to improve access to finance for small businesses - Facilitate and coordinate projects that support SMME development - Overall management of the Chief Directorate, including human and financial resources.
