Requirements:
A Degree or Diploma in Public Administration or equivalent qualification and at least three (3) to five (5) years experience in travel services OR Grade 12 with six (6) to eight (8) years work related experience in travel services. The following will serve as recommendations: Proven office administration experience. Experience and ability to work with people. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Basic financial recording, minute taking and report writing skills. Project Management skills. Ability to communicate with all cultures at all levels. Positive, open and friendly disposition in all communication. Confidence, confidentiality and reliability. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Internet and Email). Ability to handle documents and correspondence. Ability to maintain client satisfaction, both internal and external. Wiliness to work irregular hours.

Duties:
Monitor the implementation of the Departmental Travel Policy, procedures and process within the Department and provide input for the review of the said policies and procedures. Oversee the operational implementation of the travel contracts in the respect of flights, accommodation, car rental, departmental owned vehicles and subsidized vehicles. Oversee the reconciliation and payments of the travel accounts for the Department. Oversee the management of irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure that arise from the procurement of travel. Provide a client liaison service to the Department through regular interaction with the travel co-ordinators, organizing workshops and site visits with Service provider and their suppliers, providing input and conferences, conduct customer satisfaction surveys. Manage the subsidized motor vehicles transport within the Department but supervising the administration of the scheme, providing advisory support to officials participating in the scheme in respect of the Policy and related contracts. Provide supervisory support staff within Sub-directorate.
