Here in Fairbanks snowfall is only about 60% of normal for the season thus far, but it could be worse. Here is a Friday afternoon webcam photo from Kaltag, in the western Interior. Kaltag, on the east side of the Nulato Hills, is one of the snowiest low elevation places in Interior Alaska, with an mean annual snowfall of something around 120 inches. However, as you can see, thanks to the big aloft aloft that has been place for more than two weeks now, there is no snow on the ground at all.
