Je crois que ca serait important pour le publier en Europe et mettre pression sur les gouvernements européens d’accepter des réfugiés de Choucha! En Allemagne. 201 réfugiés, réinstallés ici de Choucha, sont arrivés en septembre, et nous sommes en train de discuter qu’est-ce qu’on pourrait faire pour que plus d’eux puissent venir – l’Allemagne a décidé en décembre 2011, que pendant 3 ans, on va prendre 300 réfugiés chaque année par réinstallation. Qu’est-ce qui se passe dans des autres pays?

Thank you for this video! Could someone translate the Arabic interviews to French or English? I think this would be important in order to publish it in Europe and put pressure on the European governments to accept refugees from Choucha! In Germany, 201 refugees, resettled here from Choucha, arrived in September, and we are discussing what we could do so that more of them could come – Germany decided in December 2011 that during 3 years, 300 refugees will be accepted by resettlement every year. What is going on in other countries?

The Choucha camp is closing. The UNHCR will apparently not renew the
contracts of the camp workers, some of which are ending in November (for
instance in the kitchens). It was announced to rejected refugees that,
according from the end of Novembre, they will not have access to the camp
services anymore (food, electricity, medical care...). IOM returns should
also take end in November. In the mean time, some refugees are organizing a
sit-in at the camp entrance. They refuse local integration in Tunisia as
offered to people registered after the end of the resettlement program.

Le camp de Choucha est en train de fermer, le HCR ne renouvellera pas les
contrats des travailleurs du camp dont certains se terminent au mois de
novembre (notamment aux cuisines), et a annoncé aux réfugiés non
statutaires qu'ils n'auraient plus droit à rien (nourriture, électricité,
assistance en tout genre) à partir de fin novembre. Les retours OIM se
termineraient aussi à la même date. Des réfugiés organisent un sit-in à
l'entrée du camp, notamment pour refuser la proposition de projets
d'integration locale en Tunisie pour les réfugiés enregistrés après la
fin
du programme de réinstallation. Cela car ils considèrent que la Tunisie
n'est pas à même de les traiter à égalité avec le reste des citoyens.
Ces
positions font suite à plusieurs actes racistes et abus des réfugiés
partis
travailler dans la ville de Ben Guardane.
