According to polls in Friday's newspapers, if elections were held today, the Likud would remain the country's leading political party, while Kadima - currently the largest party in the Knesset but in opposition - would be eviscerated. A poll in Ma'ariv showed Likud keeping its current 27 seats in the Knesset, while Yediot Aharonot had the prime minister's party drop to 25, after its previous poll
