White Dog and The Other White Dog continued the celebrating early this morning when they bounded in to wish us a Happy 30th Wedding Anniversary. They covered us with kisses and cuddled as we told them of that fateful day in Whitehall, MI 30 years ago when Steve and I joined our lives in an outdoor service in 34 degree F temps. For some strange reason, our wedding day temperature failed to send shivers through either White Dog like it still does to me, the once blushing bride with blue fingers.
White Dog gathered together Prinnie, Digby, Atka, and the humans and we headed to THE Park for some joyous zoomies, gentle strolling (on Quinn's part) and lots of photos. Dragon and his dad stopped by to deliver beautiful flowers in honor of the Anniversary and to spend a bit of time playing with the visiting pack (he and Atka gave each other quite a wrestling workout).
Later in the day, the sad time came...when Prinnie and our Heart Family finished loading up their car and it was time for them to head back to California. After 6 million hugs and a billion kisses, they strapped themselves safely into their car and backed down the driveway. White Dog watched from her window perch and Quinn from the porch window until we could not see them any longer.
