White Dog is sitting at her window, under house arrest. The electricians arrived this morning to hook up the monitoring for the solar panels. Since they are going up on the roof and into the yard for the electrical junction box, the gate to the yard remained open. White Dog knows her boundaries and not to leave the yard so we were not concerned. I was working on the computer when there was a persistent knocking at the front door. I answered to find one of the electricians, White Dog at his side. He explained that she had been following them around as they worked, which was not a problem, but that White Dog had been laying on the seat of their truck and now they had to leave temporarily to go pick up supplies! White Dog pranced past him and settled herself on the couch. After thanking the worker, I turned to White Dog a little angry and a lot scared..."You know better than to leave the yard," I said slowly, breathing deeply. "And what are you even thinking climbing into a stranger's vehicle? I would be devastated if something were to happen to you or if you disappeared!" White Dog rolled her eyes. "I am serious," I said. "I want you to stay inside and think about what I said. No going out unless you tell me there is a need!" So now she sits...
