Iran Trying To Buy High-Performance Metals: Report

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. security and law enforcement officials say they have fresh evidence of efforts by Iran to evade sanctions and acquire metals from China used in high-tech weaponry, The Wall Street Journal said on Friday.
The United States has sought tougher United Nations sanctions against Iran to halt its nuclear program, which Western nations believe is designed for making weapons. Tehran denies the charges.
The Journal said it had seen a series of recent emails and letters detailing contacts between Iranian companies and foreign suppliers.
