White Dog stared pitifully out of the window as I left for class this afternoon which made me feel even worse for abandoning my poor, sick puppy. All day White Dog suffered intense intestinal distress and she was dehydrated, exhausted and unclean. I cleaned her up as best she would permit (being raw and tender); gave her little hand fed sips of water; and hushed her to sleep as I sat next to her gently stroking her neck. Then I got up and went to class. Tonight we bathed her in warm water and fed her hamburger with rice. She drank some water and now wants to go on her usual walk. I hope that is a sign of White Dog's recovery.
