i keep checking the horizon

Yeah, it was that kind of day in Austin, Texas. Palm Sunday with the children waving palms. Favorite Kid #1, her Grandmother, and I laughed and laughed at the kid who chose to smack himself on the head with his palms rather than raise them in the air. Lunch with good friends at El Chile, which for my money is the best restaurant in town. Bluebonnets in bloom, a red car with the top down, and an afternoon near the lake under a gorgeous, blue, cloudless, first-of-April Texas sky.

It was that kind of day. I'm so glad to be alive.
