To immerse yourself in the African Bush, Ulusaba Private Game Reserve features very special accommodations. Retreat in style and comfort at Ulusaba‘s lodges: with two beautiful lodges set 0.5km apart and offering two different perspectives over the bush, guests can share their time between the two lodges – Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge.
Set against the backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountain range, Rock Lodge can accommodate a total of 20–25 guests in its 10 rooms. Individually designed with the colours of a different African tribe or region, Rock lodge boasts four Rock Cliff rooms, one Master Suite, two Makwela Suites and one two-bedroom Rock Suite. The Master Suite and Makwela Suites all have private plunge pools.
Along the banks of the dry Mabrak riverbed, Safari Lodge can accommodate 22 guests in its 11 rooms which include a Treehouse Suite overlooking the nearby Xikwenga Dam and are split into Safari, Elephant and River Rooms, some of which have private plunge pools.
Guests will love the sense of adventure as they cross the swing bridges between exquisite tree house rooms, created and inspired by local and natural materials, with elephants, bushbucks, lions and other local wildlife passing by.
Perfect for smaller groups and families, Ulusaba Private Game Reserve offers you the possibility to spend your stay in the Cliff Lodge. Located a short walk from the Main House at Rock Lodge, Cliff Lodge two magnificent suites offering guests the ultimate in safari luxury.
When you hire both suites for exclusive use, your own chef and private vehicle for game drives is included. Cliff Lodge 1 is a luxurious two bedroom suite accommodating up to 3 adults and 2 children with one large bedroom and a second smaller bedroom. Moreover, Cliff Lodge 1 offers a spacious lounge with fireplace, separate kitchen and bar and also features a small spa, gym and an outdoor deck with a large pool to relax after a day of adventure.
Cliff Lodge 2 is a spacious one bedroom suite accommodating up to 2 adults and 2 children on 2 small pull out beds. Cliff Lodge 2 offers a lounge area with fireplace and a large viewing deck with Jacuzzi, the ideal place to kick back and unwind.
