Deann's Floral Artwork

We often get asked about all of the beautiful artwork by Deann in our home. One of the pieces we get asked about the most often is this beautiful floral piece called Courage to Bloom that we hung in our dining room in our last house. It has not been available for months but today Deann has released her Home Grown Collection and it is now available again for a limited time along with several new pieces! And here is where we hung in in our new home! I love it just as much against the dark wall in our new living room as I did agains the white one in our dining room. 





Here's another one of her beautiful pieces, Love Deep,  hanging in Jamie and Josh's entryway. It has also now available again for a limited time. I just love how it looked against their wallpaper! 



And here are two of her newest pieces that I am thinking about adding to our collection. I am absolutely in LOVE with this one and have the perfect spot for it!!!!

Some New Deann Paintings

I hope you all had a lovely Tuesday! We have had the most beautiful weather here today that has put us all in a good mood! Today I wanted to share some new paintings from one of our favorite artists Deann! Her work is so incredible. I love the colors she uses and her whole style of painting.

I love the way this barn looks here and I love the feeling it invokes. She has a whole brand new barn series called Beauty in Imperfection and they are all gorgeous! We went the 24 by 24 size in this one.





And then we added this beautiful new painting called Refuse to Sink in her High Tide Good Vide beach series.  I particularly love the mix of blues and grays with a couple of touches of a more golden hue. We went with the 36 by 36 size in here. 









And for anyone worrying what we did with our angel - we just moved her to the hallway upstairs. It's hard to photograph out there but she can get admired much more out there. =) Deann also has an entire new angel series called "With Brave Wings" that you have to check out!

The Intensity of Bonnard


@anjabee on Twitter reminded me of how much I love Bonnard. I haven't looked at his work very much in the last few years but clearly it's time to revisit him. The way objects and patterns in his work seem to intertwine, wavering between post-impressionism and Matisse, whom I also love a lot. The way objects seem to be vibrating in an electromagnetic field—well almost precisely, since he's one of those guys for whom there is no black...the warm inward stillness of the paintings' femininity.
