As things stand this Friday morning there are no new purchases or sales planned for the IKN portfolio, so it's going to be a mediocre edition and nobody looking for a winning fliptrade should subscribe anyway. Instead, we'll do some numbers sums and arithmetic to show why current holding Trilogy is great place to be, but that's not difficult (as the CFO pointed out yesterday, the grade at Arctic makes for a forgiving mine). I'll also be looking at a recent failed trade and trying to explain (to myself more than anybody else) what went wrong, but subbers already know which company I'm talking about on that one.
The other thing this weekend is the start of the Q4 Short List, a list of prospective short candidates from the junior mining sector for the fourth quarter of this year. It's one thing to blab on about stocks and "hah that will dump", quite another to filter to a reasonable selection of truly shortable companies. As most pennycrapper juniors are near-inaccessible shorts for us retail grunts, there's a massive difference between make-believe paper trading shorts and actually doing it via the wretched Canadian market system. Anyway, that's roughly the plan for this weekend for IKN587, out Sunday evening.
