The police removed what the dog has choked on and revived him. All ended well though I didn't really appreciate being made to cry in the middle of the night.

With our late Roxy, I'd be flabbergasted if she stopped doing that. She always found a place smack in the middle where she could be the most in the way, making people trip over her in the dark. We figured she did that so she could keep an eye on everybody wherever they might have been. We called her the metric dog. For her, this was normal. If she suddenly started laying in a corner, that would be a concern.
That's why the word CHANGE is more important than any, however comprehensive, list of signs and symptoms to be on a lookout for. What is normal for one dog is abnormal for another.

The Clean Label Project is a nonprofit organization that uses data and science to reveal the contents of America's best-selling consumer products. They test for 130 harmful environmental and industrial contaminants and toxins and translate the results into product ratings. Yes, the include dog food and treats as well.
Strangely, though, Acana, which I like, rated quite low. So I'm not sure what to make of the results. I got my pet food store on it.

Saving a buck is great as long as you're actually getting what you think you're buying. Unfortunately, with online pet pharmacies, it isn't always so.

I am a yellowbelly. When it comes to my dog's medications or preventives, I only buy them from my vet or get a prescription to our local pharmacy. That is not to say there aren't any legitimate online pharmacies out there. Before you decide to use one of them, though, please do your homework.
