"L.J." now in foster - new pics!

L.J. is a familiar figure at MCAS. He grew up in a home which had inadequate fencing, and when left in the yard, L.J. would get out and wander...thus ending up as a stray dog at the Mcas shelter numerous times over the years. Eventually, L.J. was put up for adoption, was briefly adopted, but didn't do well with the transition to the new home, and came back to the shelter - where he resided for a long time, hoping still for a great new home. L.J. became a MCAS volunteer favorite and you could often see someone sitting with him in his kennel, or taking him for out for a walk.

March 2018 L.J. is now in a foster home with MCAS volunteer Robin! Although his web profile hasn't been updated in some time, his foster mom is learning lots of good things about L.J. and will keep the shelter updated. L.J. is a friendly and pretty easy going mature guy, and would love to meet you!  ps- sure looks like he has Boxer in his mix
If you are interested in meeting me, please contact Jennifer Sparkman the foster coordinator at 503-988-6670 or email at foster@multco.us to learn more about me!
(ps Robin the foster mom is very happy to answer any questions, or bring him to MCAS to meet. Jen's the primary contact, but  she'll put them in touch with Robin)

L.J. loves to suck on his soft blanket - it is calming

Hey! You may have noticed my funny way of sitting!? No worries, it seems to just be more comfortable for me and not because of any issues. I get pretty excited when you give me attention and can be a pretty big goofball. I have had a rough past and am looking for a loving home that can provide a stable environment with secure containment. The shelter is recommending I be the only animal in my new home, and live with kids 6 and older. I have been diagnosed with separation anxiety and not comfortable being left home alone. Due to this the Vet Staff here have provided 30 days of separation anxiety medication for me to go home with along with a crate to help me while you are out of the house. We also have a Canine Specialist on staff that will be following up on me to see how I am adjusting and help to provide any additional resources that you may need. Please ask the lovely folks at the shelter about me today!  8 yrs, 60 lbs
**I am currently taking a break from the shelter in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact the foster coordinator at 503-988-6670 or email at foster@multco.us to learn more about me!

LJ did great at his KOIN appearance. He settled nicely while we waited, was not phased by elevators, strangers and the hustle and bustle of TV life.
