Each day, women and girls around the world face violence and discrimination. Millions of girls under age 18 are married each year. Hundreds of millions have been subjected to female genital mutilation. One-third of all women worldwide have experienced physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.
But there is a resistance, and people around the world are taking to social media to show their support. We've highlighted some of our favorite messages here. |
