Some months ago I was chatting with Baba Nathan Lugo, searching for an Ọbàtálá symbol to include in an artwork. He suggested: “You could draw an ọ̀pá Òṣooro!” ­– I had no idea what that was. While I waited for his detailed explanation, I started to read about other Yorùbá ọ̀pá, translated as "walking sticks" and gathered (often confusing) information from these books.
