The Myanmar military has gunned down Rohingya children like them, torched their homes, and forced families to flee for their lives and take shelter in overcrowded camps where refugees are sometimes in danger. The military’s ethnic cleansing campaign is continuing its disastrous march. Just last month, Amnesty uncovered tragic stories of forced starvation, abductions and looting of property that are still forcing families to flee. Myanmar’s authorities were restricting access to the area that was under ruthless attack, preventing humanitarian aid organizations and journalists from travelling there.
