Alaska🌌 Week #91 1/15/18

Hey Family..

So it’s official. I have been in Fairbanks for 5 weeks and still no Northern Lights. It’s driving me insane so now I’m on the watch. On another note it is currently like 22 degrees outside and this next week it’s supposed to get even warmer. Super insane for January in Fairbanks. I guess the lord just knows that I hate the cold and he’s hookin it up.

This week has been awesome. So like I said last Monday we went ice skating and that was a blast. My balance is absolute garbage but it’s fine I had a Ton of fun. I seriously love the missionaries in my district. Crazy to think 5 weeks ago I didn’t even know who these kids were.

Tuesday was really good we had our district meeting and had some good  teachings from our district leader. Then I went on Exchanges with Elder Ross. We basically went to this little community south of NorthPole called Salcha. We did some service and ended up eating dinner out there as well.

Umm for the rest of the week we spent a lot of time contacting an setting up some lessons. We started teaching this part member family. We are currently teaching their two kids Shelby and William and they are planning on getting baptized the first week in February so we are super excited for them. It’s been fun to get to know this family they are awesome.

This week has been a little stressful preparing for Zone Conference mainly with just getting our training together. Not as stressful as Juneau though so that’s kind of nice.  But this coming week should be pretty busy with the conference and then it’s time for transfer calls already which is crazy and I’ll probably be getting a new companion. Because Elder Birth has been in Fairbanks for a while. It’ll be fun to get a new campion though I love serving with new people and see different ways that missionary work is done.

Things have been going really good for me though, I can’t believe how quickly this transfer has gone by my mind is blown more and more each day. My mission is crawling to a close and I’m excited to work hard and give it my all these last two transfers,  I still have a lot to accomplish. Missions are the best.

Well I love you all and hope that things are great for each of you ☺️

Love always
