Justice for Tyson Sign Now Dear friends, After hearing that her daughter had been bitten by a dog, Vivian wanted revenge. She decided that Tyson — a spotted mut — was the guilty pooch and then she hatched her plan. Instead of going to the authorities. She snuck onto Tyson's owner's property, wrapped a rope around his neck, tied him to the back of her truck and dragged him until he was dead. His death was even caught on tape. It happened in the town of Yrybucua in San Pedro Department, Paraguay earlier this month. Now it is up to the Paraguayan officials to make sure that this animal abuser is brought to justice. Police currently say they are investigating. But since the crime was filmed a mere investigation isn't enough. Only prosecution and setting an example for others who might choose to commit animal abuse will do. Animal cruelty is a punishable offense in Paraguay but just because the law exists doesn't mean it is always applied. Officials often find it's easier to let the perpetrator off with a warning than to use the legal tools they have at their disposal and take a real stand against animal abuse. As humans we are blessed with compassion and the sense of right and wrong. And unlike Tyson, Vivian understood the consequences of her actions.
