The Tough Tenors, Ioannou and Xenopoulos, will take us back in time when the two horn players would do a friendly battle on stage, uplifting the crowd with their virtuosity. Horn battles are the hot thing in the history of Jazz, and were made famous by the likes of Sonny Stitt & Gene Ammons, Dexter Gordon & Wardell Gray, Lockjaw Davis & Johnny Griffin. Joined by one of the hardest swinging rhythm sections in Cyprus, the band will perform Jazz music of the old times the way it was meant to be heard.
Directions: Head down the Polis road and turn right at the traffic lights at Papantoniou Supermarket. Go over the small cross roads and the venue will be found on the right.
