Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in the Finance Division under the Finance Department at Head Office.
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (X1)
JOB PURPOSE
This job holder will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be responsible for the management of a wide variety of functions, including advanced calendar management, correspondence and supporting the CFO’s Office. The Executive Assistant will manage confidential and time sensitive materials and represent the Bank in a professional manner, at all times.
Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the following are among the job key responsibilities:-
Provide complete administrative executive support and professional business skills to anticipate the CFO’s needs and successfully support daily business actions
Tracking of Financial statistics and pulling together graphs and reports with this data
Assist the CFO with any additional reporting requirements, creation of spreadsheets and tracking data from various team members across the Bank
Liaison between CFO, staff and other stakeholders
Extensive and multifaceted Outlook calendar management; including providing details of appointments for the CFO
Maintenance and thorough knowledge of departmental files and filing systems
Developing and maintaining key business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, written correspondence and in meetings
Obtain and prepare meeting agenda and materials for CFO’s review prior to meetings
Receive and screen phone calls, messages, and emails - providing appropriate information and resolving conflicts
Serve as liaison with various staff members to ensure appropriate follow-up with assignments, projects and critical issues
Discretely manage confidential and non-routine information, on any sensitive matters
Planning and implementation of certain department-wide events
Additional assistance to units under the Finance Department/Division as needed
Any other duties and tasks as may be assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects
Degree in Business or any related field
At least three (3) years’ experience of executive level support
Proven advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a deadline driven environment
Proven ability to support and manage high level management

In order to be successful in this role, the candidate selected will need the ability to successfully develop strategic relationships with stakeholders and employ critical thinking skills in order to understand the file systems and various other issues to assist in successfully leading and managing bank business ventures.
