| Dear friends, Right now, baby wild-caught elephants in Zimbabwe are awaiting a horrible fate. Soon they will be forcibly stuffed in crates, loaded onto a plane and shipped to China where they will likely spend the rest of their lives in captivity, forced to do their “owners†bidding ,participate in circuses, and used as tools of a sick industry that treats animals as mere objects for our entertainment. The export of wild elephants from Zimbabwe may be legal, but it is not right and it must stop. Especially when we know these animals will be forced into captivity and that their quality of life behind bars will never amount to what a life of freedom could ever provide. ‘ In leaked footage of the capture viewers can get a look at the terrible future that awaits them. In one clip — according to the Guardian — a young female "still groggy from the sedative, is unable to understand that the officials want her to back into the truck, so they smack her on her body, twist her trunk, pull her by her tail and repeatedly kick her in the head with their boots."
