Dear friends, Hank is a sweet, fun-loving pit pull mix who has been put behind bars and sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit. His family is doing everything they can to save him, but the city won't even let him out of his puppy jail cell for visits. They have not been able to hold him or pet him for months. Jackie is a friend of Hank's family who created a Care2 petition demanding that they be allowed open visitations with their beloved dog. Will you sign her petition? Over a year ago, Hank was playing on a neighbor's property with their pet goats when another dog charged onto the property and killed the goats. Originally Hank was accused of the attack, but police dashboard cam video and witnesses proved that he had done nothing wrong. The goats' owners even dropped the charges. Despite all of the evidence proving Hank's innocence, however, a local judge ruled that Hank was a "dangerous" animal and demanded that he be euthanized. Luckily, Hank was temporarily able to escape the death sentence, and was adopted by a new, loving family. But after just four months with his new family, police came knocking on the door demanding that they hand over Hank so that he could be euthanized. The family was shocked because he had always been a sweet dog and had never shown any signs of aggressive behavior. Hank's family has been fighting for his life for months while he languishes in the local animal control shelter. No one is exercising him, and even though his family visits every day, they are not allowed to take him out of his cage. The family has begged authorities to let Hank out so that they can give him the love he deserves. They have been denied repeatedly. Thank you, | | Lacey K. The Care2 Petitions Team |
