The Argentine Air Force on 2 October received its first four Beechcraft T-6C+ Texan II aircraft at the Military Aviation School facilities in Cordoba, following a ferry flight from Beechcraft’s factory at Wichita in Kansas.
The aircraft are the first batch from an order of 12 under a USD160.4 million contract. The others are expected to be received from 2018.
The fleet is to replace the Military Aviation School’s Embraer EMB-312 Tucanos, which will be sent to the country’s north to patrol borders for drug traffickers.
