the Nantes country, whose aim is to provide pickets, squats for migrants and busy squats,
baskets of fresh vegetables or canteens to support the effort and above all to create bond
and solidarity in a convivial atmosphere. Another initiative this fall: land taken from
farmers who are taking advantage of the struggle to grow. These are cumulators: those who
sold their land to Vinci, who received the money, who received land in compensation but
continue to exploit it because Vinci makes them available in the form of an annual

There will never be an airport in NDDL, but there will always be alternatives and struggles !

Our union began to shape the goal of creating a great union of the poor workers of Goiás,
which we now call the Autonomous Workers' Federation (FAT). ---- Our life has always been
difficulties, oppression and exploitation. In recent years, with the economic crisis and
government attacks, it has become even worse. ---- The Labor Reform, the Pension Reform
and many other projects are being approved to further remove our few rights. ---- Despite
this, most unions, linked to politicians or even bosses, do not show any willingness to
really fight to defend our interests. ---- Up there, the rich and the middle class, red or
green and yellow, fight for power without caring about the ever-increasing destruction of
our living conditions. ---- Meanwhile, most of the poor working class remains
disorganized, without having to defend themselves against all these attacks.
Unemployment, real wages decrease, increase of the basic basket and public transport, even
greater scrapping of schools, hospitals, social security.
All this is what we face and those above, having a life of perks, will never defend us.
That is why we begin to unite and organize ourselves. Only ourselves, who feel the pain of
daily suffering, can fight for what we need.
Our walk will be long, but we have already taken the first step. We started by summoning
some of the most engaged workers in each category.
Each of them has been forming small groups of workers at their place of work or housing.
Together, each nucleus is discussing its daily problems in the neighborhoods (the absence
of kindergartens, schools, asphalt, transportation) and in our work (the humiliation
suffered, the low wages, the persecution, the absence of rights).
In addition, they are planning the propaganda inside our class, to summon more and more
poor workers to join us in this great network of solidarity of the oppressed.
In this union, we are planning both the forms of struggle and resistance to achieve the
improvements we need as well as forms of mutual support among us workers.
We think that solidarity is our greatest strength. An oppression of a worker is an
oppression to our entire federation.
Our Federation is autonomous, completely independent of politicians and parties. We know
that elections serve the interests of the rich and that they will never give up their
wealth for us.
Our Federation has no leaders or leaders. We are here, all the working poor, the same.
We all decide together, from an equal to an equal, from the bottom up, each giving his
ideas, his arms and hands, to the measure of his forces.
We do not accept to create leaders so that they become the future politicians to oppress
us. Our strength comes from the union of each and not from any enlightened individual.
We know that our only way out, the only ones who can defend us, are ourselves, organized
and united as workers, everywhere, in factories, in companies, in our places of residence
and study.
We call on all the working poor to come together, to organize themselves, so that through
solidarity among those who suffer the most, we can create both means of resistance and
struggle as ways of helping and supporting one another.
Do not wait, workers, bosses or government. Let us organize, let us unite among ourselves.
We are the majority of the population, and, united, we will one day win!
