Allegany County Sheriff's Blotter

Allegany County Sheriff Ricky Whitney reports that on October 25, 2017, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office arrested Colin L. McMurtry, age 35 of Fillmore, on an Arrest Warrant issued by the Town of Hume Court for the following charges: 
- Growing of the Plant Known as Cannabis by Unlicensed Persons

- Unlawful Possession of Marijuana

McMurtry was arrested without incident at his residence and transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later transported to the Town of Rushford Court. McMurtry was arraigned and remanded to the Allegany County Jail with bail set at $2500 cash or $5000 insurance company bond and is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Hume Court on November 9, 2017 at 5:00 p.m for additional court action.
