SP Amity – Woman arrested for several charges after intoxicated rampage
(Scio) - On September 5 at 11:20 p.m., Troopers arrested Tonya L Armstrong, 35 of Scio, NY for criminal mischief 4th, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
Troopers responded to a residence on State Route 19 in the Town of Scio for the report of an intoxicated woman in the front yard. Troopers arrived and found Tonya L Armstrong in the front yard. Police said she was intoxicated and had been arguing with a man she lived with at the home. During the course of the argument, Armstrong (allegedly) kicked in a door inside the home. When troopers arrested Armstrong, she physically resisted. Armstrong was charged with criminal mischief 4th, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Armstrong was processed at SP Amity. She was arraigned in the Town of Friendship court. Armstrong was remanded to the Allegany County jail on $2,000 bail. She is to reappear in the Town of Scio court in September 2017.
