Dear friends,
On August 25th, police officers in full riot gear brutally evicted refugees from the Piazza Indipendenza in Rome, Italy. The police used water canons on people including children, pregnant women and people with disabilities. In the end, 13 people were wounded.
The government of Italy must step up and right these wrongs. Please sign the international petition to the government of Italy.
Was this really the appropriate response to a group of people who literally have nowhere else to go? These refugees fled turmoil in their own country only to face police brutality.
This issue demands international attention. We need as many people to sign this petition to show the Italian government that the world is watching and we expect change.
Thank you,
 Alex B.
