Dear friends, The people called the Rohingya are known as the world's largest stateless people รข€“ primarily Muslim, more than one million live in Myanmar. Over 400 have been killed recently in Myanmar's Rakhine state. The Rohingya are reporting that Myanmar security forces are burning their villages and destroying homes with bullets and mortars. The violence has forced a massive migration of Rohingya. Over 140,000 have fled to Bangladesh, many injured, starving, homeless. A humanitarian crisis is ongoing. The Rohingya need our help. Myanmar does not acknowledge their right to exist, or their status as a unique ethnic group. Myanmar simply calls them illegal Bengali immigrants. Buddhist nationalism is on the rise in Myanmar, and there are few protections for religious minorities. It is critically important for the international community to speak up and offer support for the Rohingya before the situation becomes even worse. Thank you for taking action,  | | Aaron V.
