Forbidden Stories is the third part of a trilogy on the themes of “Power and Collective Memory” created by the theatre group “Ludens Ensemble” based in Edinburgh and included in the programme of events of the European Capital of Culture Pafos2017.

The Ludens Ensemble brings to the stage stories from the two communities, using narrative techniques. Six performers will narrate the stories that were collected after an open call to share stories, representing different characters in a performance which makes use of puppetry, shadow play, video mapping, projections and music. The play Forbidden Stories aims at bridging the gap between the two communities, by going beyond division and gradually forming a common narrative for the life of the two communities in Cyprus.

Directions: The theatre is next to the Karavella bus station in the upper town, just off the Polis Road behind the petrol station. MARKIDEIO, 27 Andrea Geroudi Street, Paphos. Tel: 26932571.
