If you're catching up on the story, here's some of what you should know: Detailed satellite images of Burma's Rakhine State show the near total destruction of 214 villages. The burning is part of the Burmese security forces’ campaign of ethnic cleansing that has forced over 400,000 Rohingya Muslims to flee to neighboring Bangladesh. Those fleeing mass atrocities in Burma are now faced with harsh conditions in camps across the border where access to aid is of the utmost importance. We’ve been reporting on the plight of the Rohinga since 1996. They are one of the largest stateless populations in the world and have faced decades of discrimination and repression.
